Muscat: August 4th, 2021: Khazaen Economic City recently announced the signing of a new investment agreement with Ibtina Trading and Contracting Company to establish the first businessmen hotel in Khazaen Economic City on a total area of 4,500 square meters. The hotel targets various segments of businessmen in the city and contains hotel rooms, a business center, meeting & workshops rooms, corporate administrative offices, as well as trade fairs and various restaurants.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Salim bin Sulaiman Al-Thuhli, CEO of Khazaen Economic City, and Ibrahim bin Khalfan Al-Amri, CEO of Ibtina Trading and Contracting Company.
“This agreement is the first hotel project in the city, which will contribute significantly to attracting investors and facilitating businesses by providing hotel rooms and a business center for the city investors and visitors, which will strengthen the principle of the integrated city. This signing reflects the steady growth of the city, and the confidence and tendency of different categories of investors.” As has been said by Eng. Salim Al Thuhli.
Moreover, Ibrahim Al-Amiri, CEO of Ibtina Contracting Company, commented: “The idea of investing in the establishment of this businessmen hotel came from noticing the great demand of investors in the city for various field projects, which will serve the city visitors and the companies operating in the city, and we are looking forward to start implementing the project within the coming months.”
Khazaen Economic City is the largest public-private partnership project in the Sultanate in the field of integrated economic zones and free zones. It is the latest integrated economic city to be developed in the Wilayat of Barka, South Al Batinah Governorate. The city possesses a strategic location near the capital, Muscat, and according to the urban strategy announced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, it is considered as a part of the Greater Muscat. Besides, it is only 30 minutes away from Muscat International Airport, about two hours from Sohar Port, and 35 minutes from Suwaiq Port. In the future, the City Dry Port will be linked to Sohar City by the railway which will facilitate the transportation of goods from Sohar port to Khazaen Dry Port directly.
Khazaen Dry Port is the first Dry Port in the Sultanate, where its construction work has been completed. The city also incorporates Khazaen Fruit and vegetables Central Market, which is part of the Food City. The city focuses on major sectors such as the logistics sector, light and medium industries, business and technology, as well as the commercial and real estate sector. In addition, entertainment facilities, retail outlets, international schools, modern health care centers, which will contribute to creating communities that meet all the living and recreational needs of residents in this promising city.
